Say Hello to Class XIV!!!

The applications have been reviewed, the invites have been sent and Leadership Saline County Spring 2019 class is now in full swing after a successful Introduction Day!

After months of recruiting and planning, the day was finally here. Introduction Day. The day were the next great group of leaders in Saline County get to meet each other, meet past alumni, learn more about their classmates (and themselves, honestly) and we all get to have a little fun. And with a full class in attendance, plus alumni, the room at the Bryant Bishop Center was packed.

The food was amazing. Shout-out to Whole Hog Cafe for the great BBQ and over very own Truett Smith (City of Bryant) for handling all the food and programming needs. Class I Alumni Michael Armstrong (United Arkansas Credit Union) started the day with a little history about Leadership Saline County. Then, Class VII Alumni Jeff Richardson (Simmons Bank) went over expectations and the class project.

Our last presenter was Julie Robinson (University of Arkansas Systems, Division of Agriculture, Research and Extension) with a series of exercises to help each member discover their personality type and how to work together as a team. This was so much fun! We discovered that our class is made of almost a 50/50 split between orange and gold- which can be a very intriguing combination!

It's gonna be interesting to see how this group works together on their class project to help Saline County grow.
